Arizona Broadway Theatre - Youth Auditions for The King and I and Les Misérables


YOUTH AUDITIONS for The King & I and Les Misérables!!

When: Monday, December 1, from 4 – 6 p.m.
Where: Arizona Broadway Theatre, 7701 W. Paradise Lane, Peoria, AZ

Boys and girls with good singing voices and stage presence are needed to play the following roles:

THE KING & I
(rehearsals begin week of December 7th; performs January 9 – February 15, 2015)

“Louis Leonowens” – male, plays 11-14 years old. Anna’s English son, curious and bright, fascinated and challenged by the adventure in Siam.

“Prince Chulalongkorn” – male, plays 12-16 years old. The Crown Prince of Siam and one of Anna’s most vocal and opinionated students, proud and admiring of the King.

“Royal Children of Siam” – male and female, play 7-12 years old. The sons and daughters of the King of Siam. We are specifically looking for children between 48” (4’) and 62” (5’2”) tall.

LES MISÉRABLES
(rehearsals begin February 4th; performs February 27 – April 5, 2015)

“Gavroche” - male, plays 7-11 years old. A spunky street urchin, lots of personality, sings very well. 61” (5’1”) tall or less.

“Young Cosette” and “Young Eponine”: female, play 7-11 years old. Sweet, innocent waifs with pretty soprano voices. 57” (4’9”) tall or less.

The auditions will start promptly at 4 p.m. No appointment or advance preparation is necessary; the children will be taught the music at the audition. Parents should bring a headshot (or picture) of their child and a resume (if available) to the auditions. Enter through the Stage Door at the back of the theatre.
