2015-2016

The Outlaw Robin Hood
by Moses Goldberg

Our first show on the Mainstage is an exciting classic that will thrill all age groups.  The Outlaw Robin Hood is an action-filled play about law and order in Medieval England with some of our favorite characters. In this version of the well-known tale of Robin Hood heroic deeds are seen anew in Robin bedeviled with a dilemma: obey the law and see people suffer the worst evils of the feudal system or break the law and see injury and death to his people. Show Dates: October 9, 10, 16, 17 at 7:30pm and 11 & 18 at 2:00pm

Advanced Directing Student Shows
Each Fall semester in our Studio Theatre we have opportunities for our students to direct One Act plays or Full length plays if they are directing a second time.  There is always a wonderful variety and even some original works written by the directors.  Titles and their specific performance dates will be announced sometime in October.   Show dates: Nov. 12, 13, 14, 19, 20, 21 at 7:30pm and  15 & 22 at 2:00pm.

The Secret in the Wings
by Mary Zimmerman
directed by Andrea Robertson

Murder, incest, betrayal, infanticide, cannibalism and happy ever after?  Our spring semester begins with The Secret in the Wings in our Studio Theatre.  The show adapts a group of lesser-known fairy tales to create a theatrical work that sets their dark mystery against Zimmerman’s signature wit and humor. The framing story concerns a child and the frightening babysitter with whom her parents leave her. As the babysitter reads from a book, the characters in each of the tales materialize, all interwoven in to a larger tale that will surprise you with its ending.  Show Dates:  February 26, 27, March 4, 5 at 7:30pm and February 28 & March 6 at 2:00pm.

The Odd Couple (Female Version)
by Neil Simon
directed by Gary Zaro

Unger and Madison are at it again in our Spring Mainstage Production! Florence Unger and Olive Madison, that is, in Neil Simon's hilarious contemporary comic classic: the female version of The Odd Couple. The gender may have changed, but the hilarity remains the same. Show Dates: April 15, 16, 22, 23 at 7:30pm and 17 & 24 at 2:00pm.

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
by Jeffery Lane and David Yazbek
directed by Andrea Robertson
Based on the popular 1988 MGM film, our summer musical takes us to the French Riviera for high jinks and hilarity. Lawrence Jameson makes his lavish living by talking rich ladies out of their money. Freddy Benson swindles women by waking their compassion about his grandmother's failing health. After meeting on a train, they attempt to work together only to find that this small French town isn't big enough for the two of them!
Show Dates: June 17, 18, 24, 25 at 7:30pm and 19, 26 at 2:00pm.
