COMPANY - ASU / Lyric Opera Theatre - September 25, 2015 - October 5, 2015

Music and Lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, Book by George Furth

September 25, 26, October 2 and 3 at 7:30 p.m.
September 27 and October 4 at 2 p.m.

Lyric Opera Theatre is pleased to present its first production of the season: Stephen Sondheim and George Furth's Company. This game-changing concept musical is a sophisticated and honest look at adult relationships in modern urban America, framed as a theatrical collage in fragmented time. Company tells the story of Robert on his thirty-fifth birthday, a marriage-avoiding bachelor with no emotional commitment, reassessing his life by reviewing his relationships with his married friends and his three girlfriends. From musical theatre’s most renowned composer, Company is largely regarded as a trailblazer for the dark-comedy, modern-musical genre and is the winner of 8 TONY Awards, including Best Musical, Best Score, Best Lyrics, Best Book, and Best Revival.
