Synopsis
City of Angels is a musical comedy with a sensational jazz score by Cy Coleman and David Zippel and a witty book by Larry Gelbart. The musical weaves together two plots, the “real” world of a writer trying to turn his book into a screenplay, and the “reel” world of the glamorous film noir movie in the writer’s mind. This hilarious and seductive musical features the show stopping songs “You Can Always Count on Me,” “What You Don’t Know About Women,” and “I’m Nothing Without You.”
