audition notice - 1776 - Zao Theatre - April 11

Zao Theatre is holding auditions for the musical, 1776  Written by Sherman Edward and Peter Stone, it is the story of the writing of the United States Declaration of Independence.

1776 has a cast of 25 men and 2 women.  All parts must sing and act.  There is minimal movement for most, and a short bit of dance for Adams, Jefferson, and Jefferson.
Zao Theatre's 1776 will be directed and music directed by Mickey Bryce.  Assistant Director is Larissa Brewington.

Auditions are by appointment and will be held on Monday night, April 11th, 2016, from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.

Auditions will consist of singing a 16 measure cut from a ballad or up-tempo song.  Please bring clearly marked score in the correct key.  An accompanist will be provided.  You may be asked to read a cold reading from the script, or possible cold reading,
