Phoenix Symphony Orchestra has announced their 2016 / 2017 season. Here are the POPS and Broadway themed concerts in their season:

BRAVO! Broadway: Music of the Night

Tip your hat to Broadway as this popular program returns to Symphony Hall featuring music from The Phantom of the Opera. Under the Streetlamp, America’s hottest new vocal group with two top PBS specials, performs an electrifying evening of classic hits from the American radio songbook live with The Phoenix Symphony. Exuding the irresistible rapport of a modern day Rat Pack, the quartet includes leading cast members of the Tony Award-winning musical, Jersey Boys. Together with The Phoenix Symphony, they deliver an evening of unforgettable entertainment. You’ll hear Doo-Wop, Motown, old time Rock ‘n’ Roll and all of your favorite songs from The Drifters, The Beach Boys, and the Beatles. In a show-stopping salute to their mentors, Frankie Valli and Bob Gaudio, the guys perform a medley from the “Four Seasons” catalog of outstanding hits.

Disney in Concert – A Tale as Old as Time, a multimedia extravaganza, features acclaimed Broadway vocalists, and scenes from your favorite Disney movies projected on a screen above the orchestra. Big Bad Voodoo Daddy

Big Bad Voodoo Daddy (BBVD), one of the most in-demand swing bands touring today, hit it big with the popular film Swingers. Led by actor, singer and recording artist Tony Kishman, experience the greatest hits of “Yesterday” performed by a four-piece band alongside The Phoenix Symphony.
