audition notice - THE QUILTMAKER'S GIFT - Theater Works - September 12

Auditions are September 12th
Callbacks are September 17th at 11:00am

Please prepare 16 bars of one ballad and one up-tempo song

We are casting for the following roles.

THE CHILD: The child may be male or female. He/she is 8-10 years old depending on stature, but should be small enough to believably play at being “king”. The child is curious, imaginative and full of questions. Be prepared for possible cold reading.
THE OLD MAN: The old man appears to be in his 60’s. He is warm and gentle and speaks as if everything in life is a magical gift. He speaks with confidence and enthusiasm. There is no doubt that there is something special about him. Be prepared for possible cold reading.
BASS: A male chorus member who sings as his name suggests. He plays many roles, which may include “The Bear”. Should be a good dancer or strong mover.
ALTO: A female chorus member who sings as her name suggests. She also plays numerous roles. Should be a good dancer or strong mover.

All cast members must have daytime performance availability in December.
Stipend of $100 – $400 for public and school day performances.
No AEA contracts available.

Auditions will be held at: Peoria Center for the Performing Arts (8355 W Peoria Ave., Peoria, AZ 85345)
