Musical Theatre of Anthem (MTA), in
conjunction with Rhapsody School of Music in Anthem, announces auditions for SCHOOL OF ROCK, a brand new musical
based on the famous Paramount film written by Mike White, which starred Jack
Black. The musical follows Dewey Finn, a failed, wannabe rock star who decides
to earn a few extra bucks by posing as a substitute teacher at a prestigious
prep school, where he decides to create his own curriculum and turn his class
into a guitar-shredding, bass-slapping, mind-blowing rock band.
The score consists of 14 new songs composed
by Andrew Lloyd Webber along with all the original songs from the movie. The
award-winning production staff includes Director/Choreographer Sarah Brayer,
Vocal Director Jackie Hammond and Music Director Jonathan Nilsen.

INSTRUMENT AUDITIONS

Recording) for the character part you will be auditioning for from the website; have your registration materials (also
available on website) completed prior to auditioning. Rehearsals
begin at 9 a.m. immediately after general auditions on July 10th. PLEASE
NOTE: If you are cast in one of those five roles, you will also be required
to attend a four-day workshop (tentative dates June 26-29 from 6-8:30 p.m.) to
rehearse the instrument playing. This is an additional cost of $175-$250 as
there will need to be rehearsal time to learn the material that you will be
playing onstage. If you are not cast in one of those five roles, please attend
