Auditions for unexpected and The Pledge are just around the corner.

Auditions March 18 & 19 9am-12pm
unexpected Callbacks will be held by invitation only on April 1 10am-12pm
The Pledge Callbacks will be held by invitation only on April 2 10am-12pm

Auditioners should prepare two contrasting monologues. The two monologues together should not total more than 2 minutes.

Performs: May 19-20, 26-27, June 2-3, 9-10 @ 7:30PM
May 21, 28, June 4 @ 2:00PM

A play that explores love (in its various forms), by combining the Greek myths of Pyramus & Thisbe, Orpheus & Eurydice, and Psyche & Cupid. The lead female characters are sisters under the roof of a single mother, who is quite jaded about love. She’s also quite dangerous and will stop at nothing to make sure that her daughters never fall in love and stay with her forever.

Penelope/Psyche Female; 20s Proud; Arrogant
Phoebe /Thisbe Female; 20s Level headed; Eccentric
Emma/Eurydice Female; 20s Shy; Trusting
Connor/Cupid Male; 20s Scared; Controlling
Taylor/Pyramus Male; 20s Happy go lucky; Obsessive
Olivia/Orpheus Female; 20s Caring; Loyal

Natty and David have been married for five years. After years struggling to establish David as a Magician, their careers are finally taking off but their communication has become strained to the point where Natty is convinced David is cheating on her. Rather than confront him, she decides to hire a private investigator to follow him to find out if he is having an affair, with who, and why. But when magic is involved, nothing is as straightforward as it may appear and Natty may not be prepared for the truth about her husband, their relationship, and herself.

Character Breakdown:
NATTY Female, 30s, owns a bakery. Married to David, a magician, and acts as his assistant, usually.
DAVID Male, 30s, magician
LINDY Female, 30s, new mom. Becomes friends with Natty and acts as part needy best friend, part friend-therapist combo that all women have.
BRET Female, 30s, in a relationship with Lindy.
TYLER Male, 20s, works in the Bakery with Natty.
ANDREW Male, eventually hired by Natty to be her assistant.
