audition notice - Supplemental Auditions - Childsplay - June 26


Childsplay will be holding supplemental auditions for adult actors for roles in the upcoming 17/18 season. The open call will be this Monday, June 26th from 4 -7 PM, with callbacks on Wednesday and Thursday June 28th at 29th beginning at 4PM. All calls will be at the Childsplay Campus located at 900 S Mitchell Drive in Tempe.

We are casting for the following shows:

GO, DOG. GO! – Contract dates August 28th, 2017 – April 25th, 2018. This show will tour to theatres across the United States as well as have an extended sit down run at the Tempe Center for the Arts in November and December. Driving is a requirement of the job. To be considered, you must have a clean driving record. If under 23 years old, must have least a five year driving history.

Casting: “Blue Dog” Male, any ethnicity, strong singer and mover.


MADDI’S FRIDGE: Contract dates January 15th – May 20th, 2018. The world premiere of a new play by Anne Negri, based on the book by Lois Brandt. This is an in-state school tour with a sit down performance run at the Tempe Center for the Arts. Driving is a requirement of the job. To be considered, you must have a clean driving record. If under 23 years old, must have least a five year driving history.

Casting: Two Latinx actors to play brother and sister.


THE SNOWY DAY AND OTHER STORIES: Contract dates December 26th, 2017 – March 11th, 2018. A musical adaption of the classic stories by Jack Ezra Keats, told through song and shadow puppetry. Performances will be at the Tempe Center for the Arts Studio.

Casting: One black male actor, one black female actor, both sing.

Please prepare a one-minute monologue. If you would like to be considered for GO DOG GO or THE SNOWY DAY, please come prepared with 16 bars of an up-tempo song in addition to a monologue.
