audition notice - MEDEA - Now & Then Creative Company - September 2


Audition for Now & Then Creative Company’s Premiere Production!

Medea by Euripides, translated by Ian Johnston

Audition Date: Saturday, September 2, 2017, 10AM to 1PM

Synopsis:
Abandoned by her husband when he pursues a new marriage for political gain, Medea struggles to protect herself and her children from exile.

What to Prepare:  
Please prepare 2 contrasting monologues, each monologue approximately a minute to a minute and a half in length.

Casting the following roles:

Nurse: a servant of Medea
Tutor: a servant assigned to Jason’s children
Medea: wife of Jason
Chorus: a group of Corinthian women
Creon: king of Corinth
Jason: husband of Medea
Aegeus: king of Athens
Messenger: a servant of Jason’s
Children: Medea’s and Jason’s two young sons

Parking is available on the ground floor of the building. Follow the signs and enter the stairwell in the middle of the parking lot. Go one flight up, enter, and proceed to the performing arts wing (big blue door). There will be a check in table.

Rehearsal Schedule:
Sundays through Thursdays beginning 10/11

Performance Dates:
11/10, 11/11, 11/17, 11/18 at 7:30PM; 11/12, 11/19 at 2PM
